PokerStars qualifier Poorya Nazari wins 2009 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure!The 2009 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure saw 1,347 of the world’s top pros play for a total prize pool of $12,674,000. After five days of intense action, Canadian PokerStars qualifier Poorya Nazari emerged as the winner, walking away with prize money of $3,000,000 - the biggest cash prize ever won in a live poker tournament outside of the World Series Main Event. This year’s PCA was a true Festival of Poker, and included a $25k High Roller event, the return of the always-popular Battleship tournament, side events, cash games and the final of the PokerStars World Cup of Poker (WCP). Team PokerStars Pro Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier followed up his victory in the 2008 main event by taking down the High Roller tournament for a cash of $433,500. Meanwhile, Bahbak Oboodi picked up $44,800 for winning the Battleship event, and Germany was crowned World Champions in the WCP V final. The event took place January 5-10 2009, at the beautiful and luxurious Atlantis Resort and Casino in the Bahamas.
